A 58-year-old ex-con was shot dead on a Bronx street, police said Thursday.
Christopher Bridges was shot multiple times in the head and body on E. 165th St. near Faile St. in Longwood about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, cops said. First responders found him lying mortally wounded in the middle of the street.
He died at the scene, just a few blocks from his apartment.
Bridges served three stints in prison for drugs and attempted robbery, the last one ending in 1997, and had more than 20 arrests on his record, but none since 2004.
There were no arrests in his slaying and police are not sure why he was shot.
