The Duggar family is mourning the sudden loss of Grandma Mary Duggar, after she passed away suddenly on Sunday. She was 73.
The world knew Mary Duggar as the grandmother on the TLC reality series “19 Kids and Counting” and the spin-off, “Jill & Jessa: Counting On," which focused on her son Jim Bob Duggar’s 19 children with wife Michelle.
The devout Christian family confirmed the matriarch’s passing via Facebook late Sunday, noting her career as a real estate broker and lifelong devotion to her faith.
“She loved to share with others how they too could be forgiven of their sins, live a fulfilling life as a Christian, and one day spend eternity in heaven," the post read.
“My heart breaks. My grandma died suddenly today!" Jill Dillard, one of Jim Bob’s elder children, wrote alongside a photo of the “feisty, incredible” Duggar with her young sons.
“Grandma, you are greatly missed by all who knew you! ... I know she was ready to check outta here and get her new body in heaven before the old one started giving her too much trouble! We miss you so much!!"
Dillard’s younger sister, Joy-Anna “Joy” Forsyth, 21, also posted about their “strong” grandmother, saying she was a “role model" and "my favorite person to watch ‘The Price is Right’ show with.”
“She is GREATLY loved & missed!” Forsyth wrote, thanking people for their sympathy.
