A 22-year-old motorist was killed and his passenger critically injured after he struck a car on a Bronx parkway then slammed into a tree early Sunday, cops said.

The man was driving a 2009 Subaru sedan north on the Hutchinson River Parkway when he hit a 2007 BMW going in the same direction near Co-op City Blvd. in Co-op City around 2:30 a.m., police said.

He lost control, veered off the road and slammed into a tree.

Medics rushed the driver to Jacobi Medical Center but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

His passenger was taken to the same hospital in critical condition, authorities said. Cops were working to identify her.

The 33-year-old woman driving the BMW stayed at the scene. She and her passenger, a 48-year-old man, were not injured.

No charges were filed.
