Cops have charged a deranged drifter they say harassed an 82-year-old woman in a wheelchair in Washington Heights then chomped into a cop’s neck, tried to grab his gun and broke another officer’s arm as they wrestled him into cuffs.
Vanilli Jean-Francois, 23, was charged with robbery, assault on a police officer, harassment and menacing, police said Wednesday.
Jean-Francois is accused of haranguing the woman in a wheelchair and her 55-year-old health aide on W. 181st. beginning just before noon Tuesday, police said.
The belligerent beggar followed them into a Rainbow clothing store where they tried to lose him, authorities said.
When cops arrived, Jean-Francois allegedly tried to grab an officer’s gun and chomped down on his neck, authorities said. Another cop broke his arm and injured his shoulder in the scuffle.
