After Mayor de Blasio’s failed presidential run, a campaign flack is going back to the mothership.
Jaclyn Rothenberg said Monday that she’s joining First Lady Chirlane McCray’s team as senior communications advisor.
“It was a great experience on the external side,” Rothenberg told the Daily News. “I definitely am flattered to be joining the First Lady’s team.”
Rothenberg worked in communications roles for de Blasio from January 2017 until spring of this year, when she joined Hizzoner’s campaign. That ended Friday.
Her last role in the administration was as deputy communications director with a $163,000 yearly salary. Her salary back working for the city will be the same, according to the First Lady’s office.
Rothenberg said she is replacing ex-McCray flack Kate Bernyk, who left the administration about 10 months ago.
