They probably weren’t ecstatic about this.
Nearly 25,000 ecstasy pills were mistakenly sent to a married couple in Austria who had ordered clothing online from a company in the Netherlands, police said in a statement.
The couple from Linz returned the unexpected delivery to post office after the husband believed the contents to be suspicious.
The woman initially thought the tablets were decorative stones, according to the police statement.
The husband and wife, who are both in their late 50s, received two packages that day, with one featuring the dresses they had actually ordered.
The 24,800 tablets found in the flubbed delivery were valued by officials at nearly $550,000.
Dutch officials say the tablets were intended for Scotland, not Austria.
