Cops release photos of two suspects in gang-related shooting death of Brooklyn teen

Police release images of two men wanted for questioning in shooting death of 18-year-old Davion Powell in Brooklyn.

Cops released photos Monday of two suspects in the gang-related shooting death of a Brooklyn teen.

The two men are wanted for questioning in the slaying of 18-year-old Davion Powell outside a building on St. John’s Place near Utica Ave. in Crown Heights just after 5 p.m. April 16.

Powell was shot in the chest. Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he died.

“I didn’t think it would happen to me, and it did,” the victim’s mom, Lasandra Powell, told the Daily News days her son’s death.

Cops found ten 9mm shell casings at the scene.

Powell wasn’t in the department’s gang database but investigators believe he belonged to the Folk Nation gang, sources previously told the Daily News.

Powell’s mother laments that after he graduated high school last year he moved back to city from North Carolina.

There have been no arrests in his killing.

Both suspects are wearing hoodies in the grainy surveillance images released by cops Monday. Police are asking the public’s help identifying and tracking down the two men.
