An Irishman bearing a striking resemblance to MMA fighter Conor McGregor has been matched with a cage, to which he’s been sentenced to spend the next three years.
The Irish Post reports Mark Nye was busted for dealing drugs in suburban London. He reportedly carried business cards from a “McGregor Enterprise” and identified himself as “Conor” when he was picked up by cops in February in possession of illegal narcotics and mobile phones.
Hundreds of text messages indicating Nye, 34, was involved in drug dealing reportedly aided his prosecution.
McGregor is on the mend from a January fight, where he suffered a serious leg injury in a loss to his underdog Dustin Poirier. The 32-year-old lightweights are slated to slug it out again in July.
