A person in California was hospitalized Saturday after suffering more than 100 bee stings.
The incident occurred in Banning — a Southern California town located about 23 miles from Palm Springs — shortly after noon on Saturday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The resident was taken to the hospital following the attacks, according to The Desert Sun.
The victim’s identity was not revealed, nor was the identity of a second person who also suffered multiple bee stings but turned down treatment from responders and was able to drive to the hospital.
Their medical statuses are not currently known.
