British actress Mya-Lecia Naylor dead at 16


CBBC announced actress Mya-Lecia Naylor died April 7 at the age of 16 after a collapse.

Mya-Lecia Naylor, the British actress who got her big showbiz break playing Jennifer Saunders’ baby granddaughter Jane on “Absolutely Fabulous,” died April 7.

The 16-year-old actress collapsed suddenly, said her agents, and was reported by BBC News.

Naylor, who was also a talented singer and dancer, had regular roles on two BBC Children programs: “Millie Inbetween” and “Almost Never” and was featured in the 2012 sci-fi thriller “Cloud Atlas.”

“We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all her love to her family and friends,” read an announcement on the CBBC website. “We know this news is very upsetting, and it may help to share how you are feeling with friends or a trusted adult.”

“Almost Never” co-star Emily Atack paid tribute to her colleague on Instagram.

“So shocked and sad to hear about lovely Mya-Lecia Naylor. She was a beautiful and talented girl,” wrote Atack. “A complete joy to be around on the set of ‘Almost Never.’ Sending all my love to her family & friends. Rest in peace, beautiful girl.”
