Actress Brigitte Nielsen has a baby on the way at the age of 54.
The star revealed she’s pregnant with her fifth child by sharing a pair of Instagram posts that show her baby bump.
“Family getting larger,” Nielsen captioned one of the photos.
Nielsen, who is married to television producer Mattia Dessì, is already the mother of four children, who each came from past relationships.
She has a 34-year-old son named Julian with musician Kasper Winding and a 28-year-old son, Killian, with former Jets star Mark Gastineau. She shares her youngest children — 25-year-old Douglas and 23-year-old Raoul Jr. — with TV writer Raoul Meyer.
Women at age 50 or older only have a 1% chance of becoming pregnant, fertility expert Dr. John Zhang told the Daily News in 2016, while Janet Jackson was pregnant at age 49.
Those odds skyrocket to between 65% and 85%, however, if a hopeful mother becomes pregnant via IVF using the eggs of a younger woman.
“It’s definitely possible to have a live first baby (at 50) but the odds are like winning the lottery,” Zhang, who works for Manhattan’s New Hope Fertility Center, told The News at the time.
It’s unclear what means Nielsen used to get pregnant. A rep for the actress did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
