Brad Pitt premieres mysterious new ink next to matching tattoo with ex Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt is sporting a new tattoo, but it’s the location of it that’s grabbing attention.
New photos of the 55-year-old actor show fresh ink on his inner right bicep, displaying the silhouette of a man and his shadow. The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star has yet to say what inspired the curious new tattoo he premiered Tuesday while in Italy for the Venice International Film Festival, according to People.
Most buzzworthy though is the placement of the tat, which sits right next to a matching tattoo he shares with ex Angelina Jolie.
The older tattoo, People reports, comes from one of 13th-century Persian poet Rumi’s poems, and reads: “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.”
Some fans are reportedly wondering if the new tattoo is a nod to his roles as the title characters in either “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” or “Meet Joe Black.” In “Benjamin Button,” Pitt plays a man who ages backwards, and in “Joe Black,” he plays a personification of Death.
