Reality star Beth Chapman’s cancer has returned.
The wife of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” is battling the disease again after initially being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017.
“I can confirm that unfortunately, her cancer has returned,” attorney Andrew Brettler said in a statement obtained by the Daily News. “The doctors say it’s serious and are evaluating her treatment options. We’re all hoping for the best.”
A cancerous mass was removed from Chapman’s throat on Tuesday during an surgery, the lawyer confirmed.
Chapman, who has been married to Duane (Dog) Chapman since 2006, opened up about finding out she had stage II cancer in 2017 in a letter she sent to friends.
“I have been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I hear from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, ‘You have cancer,'” read the letter, according to report published by Us Weekly at the time.
Her husband revealed Chapman was cancer-free several months after that first diagnosis, sharing the news in November 2017 on “Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives,” a TV special chronicling Beth’s cancer battle.
