A pistol-packing bandit who knocked over a Midtown bank last spring returned to make a second gunpoint withdrawal Thursday, police said.
The suspect showed a revolver at a teller at the People’s United Bank on Park Ave. by E. 47th St. just before 12:45 p.m. Thursday, and passed a note reading, “Give me the money,” police said.
The teller handed the man $7,800, slipping an exploding dye pack in with the cash, and he ran off, cops said.
The same robber struck the same bank on April 16 of last year, cops said.
Police describe the robber as black, about 40 years old, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, and weighing about 160 pounds. He has bad acne on the left side of his face.
Cops released photos and videos of the man Thursday, including pictures taken at the Grand Central and 34th St.-Eighth Ave. subway stations.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
