Authorities are attempting to locate the body of a man who apparently jumped to his death after he climbed over a safety barrier at the Grand Canyon Skywalk Saturday afternoon.
They say the 28-year-old man jumped around 4:30 p.m.
A Grand Canyon West spokesman said the search continued into Sunday.
The drop from the Skywalk is between 500 feet and 800 feet.
It was the second death to occur at the tourist attraction in 2019. A Chinese man stumbled and fell while taking a photo in March.
The Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway that overlooks the Colorado River, opened in 2007. It’s located on the Hualapai reservation outside Grand Canyon National Park.
