Arnold Schwarzenegger is back … on his feet, that is.
The “Terminator” star took to Twitter Saturday afternoon to address fans concerned about a video of him getting drop-kicked from behind during the Arnold Classic Sporting event in Johnannesburg, South Africa.
The viral clip sees Schwarzenegger taking photos with fans and recording a Snapchat video as children jump rope in the background when a person suddenly runs up to him, leaps in the air and kicks the 71-year-old actor in the back.
Schwarzenegger, clearly caught off guard by the attack, can be seen toppling forward while a nearby security guard tackles the attacker to the ground.
“Help me!” he can be heard screaming as he’s dragged away. “Help me! I need a Lamborghini.”
Schwarzenegger did his best to assuage fans’ fears after the clip started circulating on social media.
“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot,” he tweeted. “I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”
He followed up with a tweet encouraging his millions of Twitter followers to focus on the athletes competing in the Johannesburg event.
“We have 90 sports here in South Africa at the @ArnoldSports, and 24,000 athletes of all ages and abilities inspiring us all to get off the couch,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “Let’s put the spotlight on them.”
