Jordin Sparks is coming back to Broadway.

The 2007 “American Idol" champ will return to the stage for a limited engagement in the leading role of the hit musical “Waitress” this fall.

On Tuesday, producers announced Sparks will assume the role of Jenna Hunterson from Alison Luff Sept. 16 through Oct. 27.

“Waitress” will mark the Grammy Award nominee’s first glitzy theatrical performance since she made her Broadway debut in 2010 for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In The Heights.”

“I’ve missed the Broadway stage ever since I took my final bow in ‘In the Heights in 2010’,” she said.

The musical, featuring a score by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson, is based on Adrienne Shell’s 2007 film about a waitress in an abusive relationship with her husband who unexpectedly becomes pregnant and begins an affair with her gynecologist.

The acclaimed musical, directed by Diana Paulus, slated to end its run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Jan. 5, 2020.

Sparks, recently seen on Dr. Oz’s weekly segment “The Dish” headlined the Debra Martin Chase-produced remake of the 1970s cult classic “Sparkle” in 2012.
