Adam Gase’s Jets coaching staff begins to take shape

January 14, 2019

A long offseason is underway on One Jets Drive, and new sideline boss Adam Gase isn’t wasting much time putting together his new staff.

The Jets agreed to an extension with special teams coach Brant Boyer on Sunday, according to Adam Caplan. The Sirius XM reporter noted that Boyer had already begun drawing interest from other teams as his current contract was set to expire after next season.

Boyer, 47, has been with the Jets since 2016 and saw two of his players — return man Andre Roberts and placekicker Jason Myers — earn a trip to the Pro Bowl this season.

Gase, still left with vacancies elsewhere on the staff, is set to be introduced to the New York media Monday afternoon.
