A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Anchorage, Alaska Friday, prompting tsunami warnings and fear among residents.
The earthquake struck about 10 miles northeast of the city at a depth of 25 miles.
Tsunami warnings were issued for Cook Inlet and the southern Kenai Peninsula.
Residents were urged to reach higher ground.
It its unknown if the earthquake caused any injuries or major damage to the city, which has a population of nearly 300,000.
