42-year-old man dies after being stabbed six times on Staten Island

The victim was visiting an apartment on Navy Pier Court in Stapleton when he was stabbed by an attacker.

A 42-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a gathering at a Staten Island home, cops said Thursday.

Filroy Warner was visiting a third-floor apartment on Navy Pier Court near Front St. in Stapleton when he was stabbed by an attacker over six times in the chest and arms around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.




Medics rushed Warner to Richmond University Medical Center, where he died.

His girlfriend Maritza Francis rushed to the scene Thursday morning after getting the grim news.

“I’m heartbroken,” Francis said through sobs. “I’m shocked. I came to get [ANSWERS], to see what happened.”

Francis called Warner respectful and generous.

“He was a good father,” she said. “I have no idea [who would do this to him].”

She broke down in tears and was too emotional to speak any further.

Warner’s daughter posted a Facebook message Thursday with a picture of her as a little girl with her dad and the message, “I love you dad. I wish I got to tell you bye.”

There were no immediate arrests.
