Wrong-way hit-and-run driver injures five, one critically, in mangled NYC crash
A speeding wrong-way driver injured five people, one critically, in a horrific Brooklyn crash — and then ran off, abandoning his overturned vehicle, cops said.
The heartless hit-and-run driver was zipping the wrong way down Sutter Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant in a Chevrolet Impala when he T-boned a Nissan Altima in the intersection at Chester St., officials said.
The force of the impact knocked the Altima 50 feet from the intersection and caused the Impala to overturn.
The stunned driver of the Impala stumbled out of the overturned vehicle and ran off. He has not been caught.
Medics rushed the five occupants of the Altima to area hospitals, where one, a 27-year-old man, was listed in critical condition.
