Texas toddler killed by family member in accidental shooting


Police in Arlington, Texas, are investigating an apparent accidental shooting where a 3-year-old boy was killed by a family member.

According to CBS DFW, Thomas Maybery was shot in the head shortly after noon. Life-saving measures were conducted on the scene and the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.

The shooting is being investigated by the Arlington Police Department homicide unit but is believed to be an accident. However, no information was released about the family member’s connection to the boy.

Earlier in July, a 13-year-old boy who shot and killed his 9-year-old brother in Pennsylvania and was charged with charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
