2019-09-19

Bronx rapper Jim Jones was caught on a wiretapped phone call telling a godfather of the Nine Trey Bloods they “best get to violating” Tekashi69 head Thursday as the rainbow-haired trash-talker distanced himself from the gang.

Tekashi, testifying for the government under the cooperation agreement, said that Jones is a member of Nine Trey. Later, under cross-examination, Tekashi said that Bronx rapper Cardi B is also in the Bloods gang.

In the wiretapped phone call on Nov. 17, Jones and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones discuss their anger at Tekashi’s comments denouncing the Bloods comments during a radio interview on Power 105. Jamel Jones says Tekashi should be “super violated. Super duper.”

“Tell that n----r He not a gang member no more. He kicked out the whip. He was never a gang member...They going to have to violate shorty because shorty is on some bull--it,” Jim Jones responds.

“You got to get to violating.”

Jamel Jones once rapped under the moniker Mel Matrix and was a member of the Jim Jones-led group Byrd Gang, according to Complex. Prosecutors said he was the “god father” in Nine Trey’s “street lineup” of gangsters who were not incarcerated.

Tekashi described Jim Jones on the stand as “a retired rapper.”

Alex Huot, an attorney for accused gangster Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, later asked Tekashi about Cardi B’s relationship with the Bloods.

“You joined the Bloods to advance your music year?” Alex Huot, an attorney for accused gangster Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack asked.

“Yes,” Tekashi replied.

“You knew Cardi B was a Blood?” Huot asked.

“Correct,” Tekashi said.

“You knew Cardi B made music videos with Bloods in the background?” the attorney asked.

“Correct. I didn’t pay attention,” Tekashi said.

Cardi B confirmed her affiliation with the Bloods in an interview with GQ last year.

Tekashi is testifying against Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison. Mack is accused of dealing drugs for the Bloods. Ellison is accused of kidnapping Tekashi as the gang divided into rival groups.

Ellison’s attorney Deveraux Cannick sought to portray Tekashi as a troll who could not be believed.

“Did you tell others to suck your body parts?” Ellison asked.

“Correct,” Tekashi replied.

“Who’d you tell it to?” he asked.

“Everybody,” Tekashi said.
