An SUV driver fatally struck a bicyclist he believed was breaking into vehicles in Brooklyn Monday morning before flipping his own vehicle in a fit of rage, sources said.

The driver slammed his black Jeep Grand Cherokee into the 47-year-old bicyclist on Broadway near Ellery St. in Bushwick just after 6 a.m., cops said. EMTs rushed the victim to Woodhull Hospital but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

The SUV also hit two parked cars and a semi-truck before flipping on its side. Two car stereos, a screwdriver, a set of Allen wrenches, and a fake pistol lay amidst the wreckage as cops investigated.

Sources said the driver believed the bicyclist was breaking into vehicles. Charges against the 41-year-old driver were pending as police investigated.

The bicyclist was the 20th killed in crashes on city streets this year.
