SEE IT: Livery driver pummeled by angry motorist after crashing into his SUV in Brooklyn

Livery driver attacked after accident, beatdown caught on surveillance video

A livery driver was pummeled by a furious SUV motorist after their vehicles collided in Brooklyn — a startling beatdown that was caught on surveillance video released by police Saturday.

The 25-year-old victim was heading west on Atlantic Ave. near Logan St. in East New York on Aug. 4 around 6:30 a.m. when his black Toyota Camry crashed into a green Nissan Rogue, cops said.

Both drivers stopped, but the SUV operator immediately stomped over to the Toyota, yanking open the front passenger door and leaning in to whale away at the driver, punching him in the head and body, the video shows.

Several women tried to pull the angry driver off the victim, jogging to keep up with the Toyota as the victim attempted to drive away, the video shows.

The madman motorist got back in his vehicle and fled west on Atlantic Ave., police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Jamaica Hospital with swelling to his head and body, and a fractured left middle finger, cops said.

His Toyota was damaged on the passenger side of the vehicle in the crash.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
