A perv in a fuzzy red Elmo costume was arrested for groping a 14-year-old tourist’s rear Saturday in Times Square, police said Sunday.
Inocente Andrade-Pacheco, 54, was busted around 6:45 p.m. on Broadway near W. 46th St. The victim had approached the costumed creep with her family for a photo.
As the group posed, Andrade-Pacheco’s hand allegedly started at the girl’s back and wandered south, police said.
The family called police, who cuffed the Passaic, N.J., resident for forcible touching.
Andrade-Pacheco’s arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Sunday.
“We’ve been tracking a growing number of complaints about people being touched without consent, not only in a sexual way,” said Timothy Tompkins, president of the Times Square Alliance. “The police are doing what they can, but we think there’s a need for some additional regulations or legislation, and we know the City Council is working on that.”
