New Jersey woman pleads guilty of fatally drunk-knifing her identical twin sister during street fight
A New Jersey woman who lethally knifed her identical twin sister in June has pleaded guilty to her death.
Amanda Ramirez copped to a manslaughter charge Thursday inside a Camden courtroom for killing Anna Ramirez.
During a June 22 drunken argument, the siblings fought outside an apartment building. Ramirez stated the stabbing happened after a night of heavy drinking. She couldn’t recall why she and her twin were arguing in the first place, reported Philadelphia TV station KYW.
While Amanda Ramirez, 27, initially denied stabbing Anna, she quickly changed tack, arguing it was self-defense after asserting Anna had picked up a knife and charged at her.
But at an initial June hearing, one witness stated it was Amanda was who grabbed a knife and menacingly threatened Anna, “Watch what I’m going to do!” according to court documents.
