At least six people were stabbed in an attack in Tallahassee, Fla. Wednesday morning.
The Tallahassee Police Department responded to the stabbing near Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m. and, “upon officer’s arrival, they discovered multiple stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention,” according to a statement from the Tallahassee Police Department.
Though early reports stated the attack occurred at the Tallahassee Coca-Cola plant, this has since been disputed by the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper, which noted that the stabbing took place at Dyke Industries Inc., an online retailer of building materials, located in an industrial park. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, other outlets have reported that the suspect was chased to the plant’s parking lot, where that person was ultimately arrested.
The suspect is currently in custody.
A spokeswoman for Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare confirmed to the Daily News that the system “received six people from the incident. They are currently being evaluated by our medical team."
“We will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available,” the spokeswoman concluded.
This is a developing story.
