When two worlds collide...
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, is flying out of the galaxy to develop a “Star Wars” movie for Lucasfilm, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in 'Star Wars; storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a ‘Star Wars’ film together," studio co-chairmen Alan Horn said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
Predictably, Lucasfilm is keeping everything else under wraps, including what movie Feige is even working on. After “Rise of Skywalker” in December, Disney will take a break before returning in 2022, 2024 and 2026.
Feige, meanwhile, has a busy next year with the launch of Disney+ in November and a slate of upcoming movies, including “Black Widow” and “The Eternals.”
