Man, 32, struck and critically hurt by hit-and-run driver on Bronx street

A hit-and-run driver critically injured a man on a Bronx street Sunday afternoon.

The victim, 32, was crossing Clay Ave. mid-block near E. 170th St. in Claremont at about 4:30 p.m. when a black Audi struck him, cops said.

Surveillance video shows the victim walking into the street, his hand raised in the air, before he is struck by the car, according to CBS New York.

The driver continued going north on Clay and fled the scene.

Medics rushed the pedestrian to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.

Police were still searching for the Audi and its driver on Sunday night.
