‘Karate Kid’ actor dead at 59 following organ shutdown

Rob Garrison, known for his role as Cobra Kai member Tommy in 1984's “The Karate Kid” and its sequel, died Friday at 59 years old.

Garrison — who popularized the line “Get him a body bag!” — died at a hospital in West Virginia, his sister-in-law told TMZ, noting he had been there for more than a month and his organs shut down.

Garrison was set to reprise his role as Tommy in this year’s series, “Cobra Kai," also starring Ralph Macchio, the original film’s titular character. William Zabka, who played Johnny, is also set to return.

Garrison is survived by his brother Patrick and sister-in-law Linda.
