Hit-and-run driver kills 65-year-old man near NYC’s Kennedy Airport


A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a 65-year-old man crossing a Queens street near Kennedy Airport early Tuesday, officials said.

The victim was crossing near the corner of Brookville and Rockaway Blvds. in Rosedale when a silver four-door sedan plowed into him about 4 a.m., police said.

The driver kept on going. The victim died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

The fatal impact took place across the street from 5 Towns shopping plaze on the Long Island border and just outside JFK Airport.

Cops were canvassing the area for the hit-and-run driver Tuesday and looking for surveillance video that could help identify the car and its driver.
