An oblivious truck driver left a sunny side up surprise along a Pennsylvania highway Tuesday.
The 66-year-old driver was coasting through Hegins Township when he lost control briefly, causing more than 11,000 dozen-egg cartons — more than 136,000 eggs — and more than 2,000 gallons of “egg product” to slide out of the truck and down a hill.
Somehow, the driver, who was headed from Carl Faus Farm to Elizabethtown, didn’t notice that he’d lost the load and continued on, leaving a bungled breakfast in his wake.
A section of Route 125 was shut down for hours while the scrambled spill was cleaned up.
