Demi Lovato celebrates her unedited beauty in gorgeous Instagram shot: ‘tired of being ashamed of my body’
She is so not sorry
Multi-platinum, multi-talented, multi-beautiful artist Demi Lovato celebrated National Cellulite Day by posting a gorgeous — and completely unedited — photo of herself in a leopard-print bikini posing in front of a paradisiacal beach.
And she made us love her a little more for it.
The stunning shot, which was draped in courage and a fierce sexy attitude, can easily turn Lovato into the self-love queen the world needs right now.
“This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” diva wrote in a lengthy post accompanying the photo. “And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!!”
As a bold way to promote body positivity, the 27-year-old took shared with the world that she’s no longer concerned with other people’s ideas of what is considered beautiful.
The singer, songwriter and television host has publicly struggled with different addictions and eating disorders, in the quest to keep up with the impossible-to-achieve demands for a body that is considered perfect.
“I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body,” she wrote, admitting that she did had edited previous bikini shots (“I hate that I did that but it’s the truth”), but that now will change.
Saying that she’ll “no longer photoshop her images “so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got,” Lovato announced a new chapter in her life, which will now be “about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards.”
A little over one year after a terrifying and very public overdose that almost cost Lovato her life, she’s now celebrating her return to work.
“So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day,” she wrote.

She added that she’s done depriving herself from eating a real birthday cake, and eating watermelon instead.
“I was terrified of REAL cake and was miserable on some crazy diet s--t,” she wrote.
