A Family Day gathering in Brooklyn turned chaotic early Sunday when an NYPD officer was pelted with a bottle, cops said.

Police were trying to disperse a drunken crowd following the celebration in the Marcy Houses when a group began hurling bottles at them around midnight, authorities said.

The injured officer was taken to an area hospital where he received stitches.

Twelve people were arrested for disorderly conduct in connection with the incident, cops said..

In a separate Brooklyn episode just blocks away, five people were arrested after plainclothes anti-crime officers responded to a report of shots fired on Bainbridge St. near Thomas S. Boyland St. around 1:50 a.m., police said.

No one was wounded in the incident but cops found bullet fragments near a car, police said.

Detectives were canvassing the scene looking for video.

All five suspects were charged with disorderly conduct.
