Cardi B opens up about photographer she says sexually harassed her: ‘It happens everyday’

2019-09-26

Cardi B once went to a photo shoot and got a lot more than she bargained for — a photographer who whipped out his penis.

The Bronx native, born Belcalis Almanzar, says the skeevy shooter — whose name she did not reveal — sexually harassed her in the middle of a photo shoot for an unnamed publication.

“I will never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine, and like the photographer, he was just like trying to get close to me,” the rapper, 26, told Angie Martinez in a clip from Thursday’s episode of “Untold Stories of Hip Hop” on WeTV.

“Like yeah, ‘You want to get into this magazine?’ Then he pulled his d--k out,” she told Martinez, who gasped. “I was so f-----g mad, and it’s just like, this is crazy.”

The “Bodak Yellow” singer said she “told the magazine owner and he just looked at me like, ‘So? And?’”

“When I see the #MeToo movement, there’s girls from the 'hood,” she said. “I know that they went through the same type of treatment, like, who will make you f-----g feel like you gotta do a certain type of thing."

“Happens everyday,” Martinez said.

“It happens everyday," Cardi concurred.

When asked if she still encounters these incidents in her career, Cardi said, “Oh hell, no, I’ll put you on my blast on my Instagram.”

The rapper previously referenced the incident in a 2018 interview with Cosmopolitan, wherein she said: “A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a f--k. ... I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a hoe. It don’t matter.’”
