Bronx stationery shop sells winning $10.7-million lottery ticket

One lucky patron of a Bronx stationery store woke up Thursday nearly $11 million richer.

State lottery officials were waiting to hear from the winner who purchased a Lotto Pick Quick ticket worth $10.7 million Wednesday at TS Stationery on Jerome Ave. near W. Mosholu Parkway North in Norwood.

The future millionaire correctly selected the numbers 2, 9, 10, 35, 58, 59 and the bonus number 26 in the game of chance where players need to match six numbers from a field of 1 to 59.

According to lottery officials, the winner has one year from Wednesday to collect the windfall. The winning ticket-holder allowed the Lotto machine to select the lucrative winning numbers at random.

The state Lotto drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
