A Bronx man has been arrested for murder after a man was shot to death inside the suspect’s apartment, police said Tuesday.
Cops rushed to Shaquille Yorke’s apartment on E. 162nd St. near Melrose Ave. in Morrisania about 8:40 p.m. Sunday night after getting a 911 call that someone had been shot.
Yorke was nowhere around when police arrived, but they found several people home and 29-year-old Kevin Barton shot numerous times in the upper body. Barton was rushed to Lincoln Hospital but couldn’t be saved.
Yorke, 25, was nabbed Monday and charged with murder, manslaughter and gun possession. He was ordered held without bail during his arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court Tuesday morning.
