A Bronx man arguing with a girlfriend stabbed his roommate in the stomach and arm after the victim tried to break up the couple’s fight, police sources said Friday.
William Quiles, 24, ran out of the apartment near the Cross Bronx Expressway and Randall Ave. after the Thursday knife attack around 6:30 p.m., police said.
Sources say his roommate was trying to diffuse a fight between Quiles and his girlfriend. At one point the victim went back to his bedroom — then heard a knock on his door.
“When he opened it, Quiles pulled a knife and stabbed the victim twice before fleeing,” said a police source.
The wounded roommate was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.
Cops say Quiles is approximately 6'0?, about 200lbs, with black hair, a light complexion and a black beard. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, and dark shorts.
